The Thunder 3 anime's new video reveals the cast of the rebellion, including Taito Ban as Teiichi Segami, a karate expert in college, and Yūki Hirose as Shizuka Tashiro, Segami's former high school classmate who is now in the rebellion. The video also features the opening theme song "Thunderbolt" by singer-songwriter Yuri. The newly announced cast members include Ryoko Maekawa as Mio Kisaragi, Haruki Ishiya as Kyōji Sumeragi, and more. The anime stars Sayumi Suzushiro as Pyontarō, Natsumi Kawaida as Tsubame, Eri Akiyama as Hiroshi, and Honoka Mitsubachi as Futaba. Hiroyuki Seshita is directing the anime, and Hiroshi Seko is overseeing the series scripts. The anime premiered on Fuji TV's +Ultra programming block and other channels on July 8 at 24:45 JST, and is exclusively streaming worldwide on Netflix starting on July 8. The manga, launched by Yuki Ikeda in Kodansha's Monthly Shonen Magazine in May 2022, ended on June 5, with the ninth compiled book volume set to be published on July 16.
